Branded Template Specifications

Everything you need to know and have on-hand, to create your company's branded video templates: logo, colors, font, intro & outro.

VideoMyJob subscriptions come with 1 or more templates. (Visit our pricing page for more information.)

Each template can be used for different logos, or for a different look to each video. For example you might have multiple brands, initiatives, or business units in your company that each have their own distinct style guide and/or logo. Each one of these can be set up with their own brand template on VideoMyJob.

Each template is comprised of the following.

During your brand template setup you'll be asked to add your Primary and White logo.

Primary Logo

Also referred to as your Main Logo. This is the logo that will appear throughout your video, on your video cover and in the  animated intro and outro of your video.

Example of our Primary Logo on a video:

The file requirements are:

  • Format: RGB colour
  • Filetype: .png (transparent background) or .svg
  • minimum width: 600px
  • minimum height: 200px

White Logo

Also referred to as your Alternate Logo. This is the logos used to appear on top of your brand colour in certain areas of the brand template

Below is a VideoMyJob example of the logo options when choosing a video cover to help illustrate how the two logos are used.
By default we generate cover image designs using your brand colour, and white.

BrandColourCover

We can see that the alternate logo is the on-dark / on-brand version of your logo which is used when it appears over your brand colour - see example above.
Notice that the Main logo is the same logo asset used during your video, and appears over the default white cover image design - below.

Brand Colour

You will be asked to select your primary brand color during set up. Brand colors will be auto-generated using colors from your logo. You can override the auto-generated color by inputing your HEX color code.

Only one brand color can be selected per logo/template. If you have secondary brand colors or a brand palette you would like to incorporate in your video templates, please speak to your VideoMyJob representative.

The brand color is the default color for:

  • Video covers
  • Text captions
  • Outro animation background (more info on outro animations below)

Below is a VideoMyJob example of brand colors in video intro (name) and outro (contact info/call to action), full screen captions and text captions:

Intro Animation

Also referred to as the Top Video. During your company account set up we automatically generate a standard intro animation using your Primary Logo over white. This is a 3 second clip that features your logo with a 0.5-second fade in and out.

Example:

Have your own Intro Animation?

With a Custom Branding request you can supply your own custom intro animation for us to load into your template.

We require a high-quality .mp4 or .mov file that is 1920x1080 pixels at 30 frames per second.

We recommend video lengths of 2-4 seconds. However, a total time of 8 seconds is supported.

You can also supply audio with the video file.

Your audio file cannot be longer than the animation. Commercial or stock content must be licensed appropriately. Reduction of visual quality may occur through file compression.

Outro Animation

Also referred to as the Tail Video. During your company account set up we automatically generate a standard outro animation using your White Logo over your Brand Colour. This is a 3 second clip that features your logo with a 0.5-second fade in and out.
Note that this will include "Powered by VideoMyJob" by default.
This can be removed upon request if you are on our Enterprise package.

Example:
