# How to Add Video Overlays (App Only)

## Learn how to add video overlay (b-roll) to support your video message.

The VideoMyJob app makes it easy to add supporting video overlays (often referred to as b-roll) to your videos during editing.

Video and image overlays support and illustrate your video message; photos of your office environment or a video of the team at work. 

**This video will demonstrate how to add overlays during the editing process:**

### Adding video overlay

- Select *'Video'* from the list of overlay options 
- Tap the + icon to select a video from your team's asset library, your phone gallery or use your device's camera to take some footage
- Once you have selected a video you will have the ability to drag it around on the screen and make it smaller or larger (even full screen) 
- Adjust the length of your overlay and the exact moment you would like it to appear by using the - and + or using your fingers to drag the red dots.

### Trimming video overlay

- Select *'Video'* from the list of overlay options 
- Tap the + icon to select a video from your smartphone gallery or to use your camera to take a photo
- Using your finger, drag the blue trim handles to the trim point
- Double tap the trim handles to zoom in
- Rotate your device to trim in landscape mode
- *'Adjust Trim'* at any time by tapping your video in the video overlay screen

### To delete a video overlay

- IOS: Swipe left on the row of the chosen video and select *'Delete'*
- Android: Long press on the row of the chosen video and select *'Delete'*
