Web Editor: Getting Started Guide

Web Editor gives you the flexibility to refine and enhance your videos directly within VideoMy. Add captions, trim unwanted sections, combine multiple videos, add music, and more - all while maintaining your brand consistency.

Accessing Web Editor

Step 1: Open Your Video

Navigate to Inbox.
Select the video you'd like to edit.
Click Edit Video.

Step 2: Select Your Branding

Choose the brand you'd like to apply to the video.
Click Set Branding.

Your video will begin processing and may take a few minutes to load into the editor.

Understanding the Timeline

Once loaded, your video will appear in the timeline.

Branded Intro & Outro

Your video will automatically include your branded intro and outro.

Note: These sections are locked in place and cannot be removed or edited.

Editing Your Video

Select any video clip within the timeline to access editing options:

✂️ Split
📋 Duplicate
🗑️ Delete

To make edits:

Move the timeline marker (playhead) to the desired position.
Select the editing action you'd like to perform.

Undo & Redo Changes

Made a mistake?

Use the:

↩️ Undo button
↪️ Redo button

to quickly reverse or restore changes.

Zoom Controls

For greater editing precision, use:

➕ Zoom In
➖ Zoom Out

to adjust your timeline view.

Adding Additional Videos

On the right-hand side of the editor, you'll find your media library.

This includes videos that have been:

Recorded by you
Submitted by contributors
Added through campaigns
Stored in projects

Finding Videos

Use the tabs to browse content:

All
Campaigns
Inbox
Projects

Adding Videos to Your Timeline

Simply drag and drop a video from the media library into your timeline to:

Add it as a new clip
Use it as B-roll footage

Uploading Additional Assets

Need extra content?

Click the Upload button to add:

🎵 Music
🖼️ Images
🎥 B-roll footage
Other supporting assets

Note: Images and videos can be resized.

Uploaded files will become available within your media library for use in your project.

Adding Captions

To add captions:

Select Text from the right-hand menu.
Add your caption text.

Once added, captions can be:

Moved anywhere within the video frame
Resized for better visibility
Positioned to suit your content

Managing Your Branding

Select Brand from the right-hand menu to control branding elements.

Logo Options

You can:

Display your logo
Hide your logo

If displayed, the logo can be repositioned within the video frame to achieve the best placement.

Ready to Publish

Once you've finished editing:

✅ Review your video
✅ Check captions and branding placement
✅ Select Export

You will then be able to add your Cover Image, Title and Description before publishing.

Collaborating on Projects

Web Editor makes it easy to collaborate with your team on shared video projects.

Accessing Projects

Navigate to the Projects menu.
Here you'll find all the projects you and your team are working on.

Editing a Project

The actions available depend on the project's status:

Draft Projects

If a project is still marked as Draft, you can open it and continue editing straight away.

Finished Projects

If a project has been marked as Finished, simply click Make a Copy to create a new editable version before making any changes.

This ensures your original completed project remains unchanged while allowing you to reuse and repurpose existing content.
