Now that you've defined your EVAP strategy and launch plan, it's time to navigate training your team of advocates and sourcing content in a streamlined way.
1. Film and Edit yourself
This is pretty straightforward. You can watch our getting Started with VideoMyJob video for an end-to-end demo on how to script, film, and edit your video.
2. Team Collaboration
The video above shows you how to film and edit yourself. But sometimes you might need to send the video to someone else, or you need them to send the video to you for editing.
This is where our Send Project feature comes in. This feature allows users to send a video to another colleague for editing.
- Begin in the 'Timeline' screen - The 'Timeline' screen is the first screen you arrive at after recording or importing your video, before 'Overlays'
- Tap the 3 lines in the top left hand corner to expand the menu
- Select 'Send Project'
- Select a team member
- Type a message
- Add attachments
- Tap 'Send'
We recently released a lite version of VideoMyJob under the Film Only user role as part of our new packages. This is a streamlined user experience where a Film Only user will be taken directly to send their video to someone else for editing. Perfect for assigning one-off video tasks to your colleagues.
- Begin in the 'Timeline' screen - The 'Timeline' screen is the first screen you arrive at after recording or importing your video
- Tap 'Next' in the top right-hand corner
- Select a team member
- Type a message
- Add attachments
- Tap 'Send'
Once your colleague has sent you the video you go to your App inbox to edit the video.
Note: you can download the video to your phone gallery and import it into an existing project (i.e. if you're editing together a multi-colleague video)
- Expand the menu in the top left and go to your 'Inbox'
- Open the Message your team member has sent you
- Select 'Edit Video'
Tip - When you open the inbox message, if you long press on the asset thumbnail you can Download it to your phone gallery. This is helpful if you have multiple videos sent to you that you want to edit together.
3. Create a Video Plan
To help you bring all of this together you can use the Create a Video Plan feature.
This will give you some default scripts to use - or you can re-write it with your own script.
Then you can define who you want to do the filming, the editing, provide some additional instructions, and schedule a date and time for action.
